Janus Heinous
She wears that new dress with stolen pride
When you carry so much grief and disgust it’s hard to have your own
Naturally it is white
This is not her fault
It is natural to wish upon a star
To wish for something she will never have
She trots through town her and her lease, her veil
But she fools no one
I know
You know
We all know
Yet we act as though
We treat as though
We console as if it were human
This she clearly is not
Her sins quickly take hold of the dress
A black ooze protrudes from her every orifice
Some more than others for some flow with more ease
Her dress quickly turns to black
The sins are out the truth the lies
I dub thee Janus the Heinous

That was the moment where everything made sense.
This was so much more than him and I,
and I needing something.
It was more about some kind of truth
that I could no longer deny.

eternity arising from fleeting shadows
of make-believe unities
a struggle against a preoccupation
of the senses demanding attention
a constant validation
of the urge to co-create
trying hard to sublimate
the unconstrainable flow
desirous of maturation
attempting relief
where love’s tears
lay wasted on barren sheets
overcoming by submission
to the elixir out of reach
the melody of existence
the matrimonial permanence
beyond the illusion of self conceit

7 days a week
fast pace but no drive through.
Lines usually crowded and noisy
the receptionists smoke too many cigarettes
and leave lipstick on their water glasses.
And all around is musty
like clothes that were left out to dry
but never did.
