Duchamp and the Infra-thin
By Stephen M. Linsteadt
a duchampian vision
celibate machine-men
eyeing maiden gasoline filled breasts
an illuminating gas
from the infra-thin
an allegory of oblivion
like the warmth of a seat
which has just been left
or condensing vapors fleeting
on a polished surface
requiring extra sensory esthetics
lost to Warhol imitators
and the inhabitants of the
infra-thin do-nothings
not privy to the secrets
in the green box
a record of our culture
an androgynous legacy
a game of chess
